What To Expect

When are services?

Our worship service begins at 9:00 a.m. Following the service we have a time to gather together, while we enjoy coffee or cold beverage. Our Sunday School for adults, youth, and children begins at 10:30 a.m. and is over at 11:30 a.m.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you're joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you're wearing. In the summertime, it's not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a t-shirt. Others prefer to still put on their "Sunday best," and that's fine too! We think you'll fit in no matter how you dress.

How do I get to the Beach Bible Church?

We are located on 1912 Florida St between Adams and Utica. Look for the signs and sail banners. Click on this link for a map.

Where should I park?

We are asking everyone to park in our South parking lot for now. Click here for a map to our church and parking. We have a building under construction and for the summer months our parking is limited.

Where do my children go?

The Nursery and Pre-school children can be taken directly to their classes. Elementary school children are dismissed for Children’s church just before the sermon to Room 110 in the Christian Education building.

Am I expected to put money in the offering?

If you are a guest with us, we don't expect you to put money in the offering, and you are welcome to just let it pass you by. If you consider Beach Bible Church your church home, we'd love for you to prayerfully consider giving. You can give by check or cash during the service, or you can mail in your contribution. You can also give on-line by following the links on our web site.

What is your service like?

We strive to have our attenders passionately engage in worship experiences. To achieve this we utilize an eclectic mix of live music, media, preaching, praying, public reading of Scripture, testimonies, and congregational reading. Our service typically lasts an hour and a quarter.

Maximal Participation: We are constantly striving to enable the highest number of people to participate and engage God passionately.

1. A Timeless Gospel: We endeavor to demonstrate the power of the Gospel and its ability to reach and meet needs across generations.

2. Musically Diverse: We strive to be flexible in utilizing multiple musical styles with excellence and passion. We sing older hymns of the faith that have stood the test of time. We frequently ‘retune’ them to give them a more modern feel without sacrificing the intent of the original author. We also sing some of the more contemporary songs where the writers have been careful in theological accuracy and content.

3. Worship is about the triune God. We come humbly, as recipients of His grace, to give Him honor and glory by praying, singing, listening to preaching, giving, celebrating the Lord’s Supper and celebrating baptisms.

4. The Bible is central to all that we do, especially in public worship. Our pastor and elders preach messages that are centered on God who has revealed Himself perfectly in the Bible. We preach expository sermons, usually progressing verse by verse through a book of the Bible.

What does a service sound like (volume)?

We understand that volume is perceived differently. One person’s sense of “loudness” may not apply to the next person. Our experience tells us that we are not able to satisfy everyone’s perception of volume or even mix of audio. Therefore, we strive to adjust the volume of the instruments and up-front singers so that the congregation can hear itself sing. The sound coming from the platform should never overpower the congregation so that we cannot hear others singing.
